CARE FOR YOUR WOOD!

Wood doors are constantly being exposed to dirt, heat, wind, and rain, as well as the touch of people and pets. So whether you have your own wood door with an installed insert window or a full mesquite door, both can be touched up and cleaned easily. 

To maintain the health of the wood and keep it rich in color,  apply tung oil with a cloth. We like to use Minwax Tung Oil which can be found at your local home improvement store. 

Avoid

• Bleach
• Acidic products 
• Steel wool and stiff scrubbers

Stay far away from bleach when cleaning your wood door, this can start stripping the color making it lighter and destroys the lignin that connects wood fibers. Acidic products on wood have similar reactions to bleach. Using any steel wool and stiff scrubbers can scratch your wood door!
